Summary
Big Bet Poker is a medium sized poker room, with nice software graphics and very
good mix of promotions. There is a good selection of game variations, but one
lacks some features in the software. Overall, a nice playing experience with
good promotions.
Software and graphics
The software has very appealing graphics and the playing feeling is good. But
the software lacks some functionality, such as notes on players, statistics,
find player function, etc.
Ring game traffic
The traffic is low, with about 15-60 real money players at peak times in the
ring games. The traffic is very concentrated to holdem games.
Tournament traffic
The traffic in the tournaments is also low, with up about 10-40 players at peak
times.
Game variety
The variety is limited to only holdem and Omaha Hi and Hi-Lo and seven-card stud
Hi and Hi-Lo. There are both pot- and no-limit tables.
Rake
The rake is at the average of the industry, with max rake at $3 and 5% of the
pot taken in intervals. The tournaments have a low rake at the medium limits,
they are charged as follows: $1 fee for $5 entry, $1 fee for $10 entry, $1 fee
for $20 entry, $2 fee for $30 entry, $3 fee for $50 entry.
Soft competition
We have limited experience in order to make an informed assessment, but the
competition seems modest (i.e. lower than at most leading rooms).
Sign up bonus
The maximum bonus is $30 at 100% deposit match. In order to get the bonus, your
contribution to rake needs to equal the bonus amount. Each rake from a hand is
split equally on all players (even where you just get dealt cards you have the
same share), the amount of rake tagged to player this way is then used to
convert "promo dollars" to real money.
Loyalty bonus
Players earn Poker Points. Every time you participate in a hand where the rake
is $1 or more you will earn 1 point.
Promotions
Very nice mix of promotions. There is a progressive bad beat jackpot, Sunday
specials, refer a fried program, welcome free rolls (with $1,000 in price pool),
high hand of the day, money added tournaments and more.
Support
Telephone and e-mail support.
Financial security
Poker room with quite low traffic but no earlier recorded problems we have heard
of. OK score.
